Have you never snorkeled? You do not know how to swim? No problem. Learn to snorkel with us.

Begin this magnificent journey on the beach known as Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve, Ensenada Yegua in Fajardo located on the east coast of Puerto Rico. With us you will learn to observe marine life, to put on your snorkel mask correctly, to breathe through the tube and to float. Once we have the confidence to continue the adventure, we will go directly from the beach to one of the reefs with an instructor.

Once we leave fear behind, eyes will be open to the abundant marine life. You can snorkel for a while, at your own pace, without the rush of large groups, with great opportunities to see a variety of fish, rays, octopus and corals, through the calm waters frequented by different marine animals. Once the activity is over, you can head back into the water, as this snorkeling lesson includes snorkel equipment rental until 4:30 p.m.

Welcome to Pirate Snorkeling Shack at Reseva Natural Cabezas de San Juan, Ensenada Yegua, Fajardo Puerto Rico. With us, you will learn how to observe the marine life, how to put on the snorkeling mask correctly, breathe through the tube and how to float.

Pirate Snorkeling specializes in introducing guests to the incredible underwater life and natural beauty of the Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve, Ensenada Yegua, Fajardo, Puerto Rico's protected area. We are passionate about marine life and ecotourism and hope that our guests will be inspired to commit to protecting our oceans and marine life as well.

It is important that you do not touch the coral reefs, fish, turtles or any other marine animals. And please never feed the fish anything that a human can eat. Help our reefs and oceans by using sustainable practices like reef-safe sunscreen, reusable water bottles and cups, and most importantly, take your trash with you.

Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee the any amount or type of fish you will see on our tours. We do not feed the fish to bring them close to visitors. This is harmful to the fish’s natural diet and it interferes with their natural feeding cycles.

HEALTH, AGE & IMPORTANT RESTRICTIONS

Minimum Age: 5 years old

The following guests cannot participate:

State of pregnancy
Guests with recent surgeries
Guests with neck, back, arm or leg problems
Guests who have epilepsy, heart conditions and/or dizziness

Other important notes:

We cannot exceed 6 guests. It's the law.
All guests must be able to communicate in English or Spanish.
Guests that show signs of intoxication by Drugs or Alcohol will not be allowed to participate.

CABEZAS DE SAN JUAN NATURAL RESERVE ENSENADA YEGUA: $35 P/P

Cabezas de San Juan is an area of high ecological value with little swell activity, and protected by a barrier of coral reefs.Located 50 minutes from the capital, San Juan, has the sandy beaches and the steep rocky are habitat of marine and migratory birds. The lands and waters of the reserve are refuge and breeding grounds for endangered species, including the manatee and the sea turtle. The reefs and the keys of the coast are natural extensions of the mainland and protect the clear and placid waters with their coral formations and their luxuriant marine life.
