Paddle through crystal clear waters and discover beautiful coral reefs, diversity of animals and colorful fish. Be a part of the glowing mysteries of the night by renting a kayak. In this adventure you and your companions will be able to explore at your own pace the beautiful natural life that exists in Puerto Rico.
Important : You need a vehicle to pickup the kayak at 4:30 pm and drop off at 8:00 am next morning.

Pirate Snorkeling specializes in introducing guests to the incredible underwater life and natural beauty of the Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve, Ensenada Yegua, Fajardo, Puerto Rico's protected area. We are passionate about marine life and ecotourism and hope that our guests will be inspired to commit to protecting our oceans and marine life as well.
It is important that you do not touch the coral reefs, fish, turtles or any other marine animals. And please never feed the fish anything that a human can eat. Help our reefs and oceans by using sustainable practices like reef-safe sunscreen, reusable water bottles and cups, and most importantly, take your trash with you.
Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee the any amount or type of fish you will see on our tours. We do not feed the fish to bring them close to visitors. This is harmful to the fish’s natural diet and it interferes with their natural feeding cycles.

Cancellation PolicyGENERAL CANCELLATION POLICY All cancellations must be made 48 hours before the tour or the rental departure time for a full refund of the money. If you cancel less than 48 hours before check in time, late arrival and no shows will maintain a full charge, there is no money back. All cancellations must be made directly with Pirate Snorkeling Shack by telephone. SPECIAL ACTIVITIES & GROUPS OF 16 OR MORE GUESTS For special activities of 16 participants or more, the cancellation must be made 2 weeks in advance for full refund. If the cancellation is made after 2 weeks there is no money back. WEATHER CANCELLATIONS If we cancel due to weather, we will offer you a new date at no cost or a full refund. That said, be aware that we are the ones that determine cancellations due to weather conditions. Please do not make the mistake of deciding not to attend because you think the weather might not be acceptable, as you will still be charged if the excursion or the rentals goes out. If you ever have a question about the weather conditions, please call us. If we need to cancel an experience due to weather conditions we will call to notify you as soon as possible, however please note that due to the sometimes unpredictable weather in the Caribbean, cancellations may be done the same day on site. FINAL NOTE Due to the unique nature and small size of our groups, we are forced to remain firm about our cancellation policy. Consider that on the day of your excursion we will be there, on site, waiting, and ready to serve you. Regardless of the cancellation reason, our time and fixed costs are already invested; we may even have turned down other customers by holding your space.

Date Reschedule PolicyYes, we can reschedule your reservation for a future date with a rescheduling charge of $25 + tax per person/ tour, and $10 per rental. All date or time changes are subject to availability.

Safety and Medical ConditionsBefore starting any activity you must inform us if you have any allergies, back or heart problems, and if anybody in the group is pregnant upon making the reservation. .You are responsible for sharing these conditions with the rest of your group. We have first aid equipment and all our crew members are trained in first aid and CPR. Safety Measures Maximum Weight Limit: 500 lbs per kayak / 250 lbs per Paddleboard Depending on the activity you want to do with us, the minimum age is 5 years old | Participants Age 6-17 must be accompanied by an adult on the same activities. All guests must be able to communicate in English or Spanish.

Where should I arrive and at what time?The place where you should arrive is sent in detail in a confirmation email.The arrival time for the check inn depends on the tour or rental you have selected. We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes before the start of the activity.

We can tip the guides?If you want to gratitud an excellent job done, our tour guides would certainly appreciate it.

How can I snorkel if I wear glasses?A prescription mask may be provided, but please note due to the huge variety of recipes we only offer minus 3 and minus 4 recipes, they are subject to availability. Contact lenses can be worn under the mask only if you are comfortable doing so (but at your own risk). For lighter recipes, the mask itself and water provide plenty of boost.

Do you have bathroom and parking facilities?Cabezas de San Juan, Ensenada Yegua No, we do not have restrooms or customer parking. The closest parking and restrooms are located at the Seven Seas Beach about 5 minutes walk. Parking has a cost of $ 5 plus tax per vehicle and the use of toilets $ 1 per person. Villa Marina Yes, we have parking and restrooms. At the boat we don't have bathrooms.

Which Tour or Rental is Right for me?Our tours are designed for everyone to enjoy, from the most experienced, to the novice. If you already have the necessary experience and feel free to explore the area alone, you can rent the equipment. We provide you with a map of the area, you can explore the reserve. It is important that during the reservation process you tell us if anyone in your family is pregnant or has recent problems or surgeries on the heart, neck, back, legs and arms.

In the event that weather conditions are not optimal for going out, you will be notified by phone. In case we cannot reach you quickly by phone, text message and email will be our next options. If we are forced to cancel a tour due to weather conditions, we will offer you the solution that better fits your needs, including rescheduling to another date, booking another tour, or full refund. Is this trip suitable for pregnant women? No. The safety of your unborn child and yours are very important for us. In case of emergency, we cannot guarantee a fast return to the mainland or the necessary medical assistance. I don’t know how to swim. Can I still go? Yes. We will be provided you a flotation belt, so no expert knowledge of swimming is required. The vessel is equipped with US Coast Guard approved life jackets. Our tour guides are also trained lifeguards. If you choose not to join the snorkeling sessions and only enjoy the trip and beach explorations, that is fine too. Can I bring my snorkel equipment to use on the tours?Of course you can use your snokeling gear. Many people use their own mask, snorkel and fins (But there is no discount for bringing your snorkeling gear)

Boat and Snorkeling ExperienceThis is a private boat charter? Yes, is a private boat charter for up to six guests What happens if it rains? Is this trip suitable for pregnant women? No. Our vessel due to normal movement with currents, wind, and waves, increases the risks of tripping or falling for all guests. Pregnant women are susceptible to tripping or falling faster. The safety of your unborn child and yours are very important for us. In case of emergency, we cannot guarantee a fast return to the mainland or the necessary medical assistance. I don’t know how to swim. Can I still go? Yes. We will be provided you a flotation belt, so no expert knowledge of swimming is required. The vessel is equipped with US Coast Guard approved life jackets. Yes you can bring your own food. The experience includes an all you can eat and drink buffet, with both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, so it’s better that you just come ready to enjoy and take advantage of all the perks already included in your trip.
