Pirate Snorkeling specializes in introducing guests to the amazing underwater life and natural beauty of the protected area of Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve, Enesenada Yegua, Fajardo, Puerto Rico. We are passionate about marine-life and eco-tourism and hope that our guests are inspired to make a commitment to protect our oceans and marine-life too. We ask that you do not touch coral, fish, or turtles and please, never feed the fish anything a human would eat. Help our reefs and oceans by using sustainable practices such as reef safe sunscreen, reusable water bottles, and reusable cups. We have all items available for purchase here (link). Our custom reusable cups come with two covers, two re-usable straws, and freezable ice cubes. We do not feed the fish to bring them close to visitors. This is harmful to the fish’s natural diet and it interferes with their natural feeding cycles.

________________________________________________________________________________ Cancellation Policy General All cancellations must be made by phone directly with Pirate Snorkeling Shack at 787-556-0104 with 48 hours before the scheduled time for the start of the activity, for a full refund of money. If the client cancels less than 48 hours before the scheduled time for the start of the tour or rental, the total cost of the activity will be charged, for the management of expenses. There is no money back. If the client wishes to make any changes to their reservation, they must contact Pirate Snorkeling Shack by phone at 787-556-0104, at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled start time of the tour or rental. We can reschedule your reservation for a future date with a rescheduling fee of $ 15 per person for guided tours and $ 10 per rental equipment, subject to availability. In order to make the change Pirate Snorkeling Shack reserves the right to accept or reject any request to change the date, time or rental item. Customers with reservations must arrive on time. The time consumption of the rented item and / or tour will begin at the time established in the reservation and will end at the agreed time in the reservation. No show and / or does not arrive on time will be considered as an activity carried out and there is no money back. This policy applies to everyone, including cruise passengers. Weather Cancellation Pirate Snorkeling Shack works in the Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve, Ensenada Yegua in Fajardo Puerto Rico. By working in a natural environment, all activities are subject to the climatic conditions being optimal for any activity at sea. If we are forced to cancel a tour due to weather conditions, we will offer you the solution that best suits your needs: a new date for the activity, the reservation of another tour or rental of another item or the full refund of your money . However, please note that we are the ones who determine cancellations due to weather conditions. Please do not make the mistake of deciding not to attend because you think the weather might not be right, because if we do the activity and you decided not to attend, you will still be charged for the activity. If you ever have a question about weather conditions, call us at 787-556-0104. Special activities Special activity groups with 10 or more guests must cancel at least 2 weeks before the tour or rental date to receive a full refund. If the client wishes to make any changes to their reservation, they must contact the Pirate Snorkeling Shack by phone at 787-556-0104, at least 2 weeks in advance of the activity. We may reschedule your reservation for a future date with a rescheduling fee of $ 15 per person in case of the tour or $15 per rental equipment. Group cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the date of the tour will maintain a total charge. The time consumption of the rented item and / or tour will begin at the time established in the reservation and will end at the agreed time in the reservation. Due to the unique nature and small size of our groups, we are forced to remain firm on our cancellation policy. Please note that on the day of your tour or rental we will be there, on site, waiting and ready to serve you. Regardless of the reason for the cancellation, our time and effort are already invested; We may have even rejected other customers by maintaining their space. Thanks for your understanding!

1. Health & Safety

Snorkeling Shack from day one, we comply with the general rules of Public Health and guarantee the safety of our employees and customers as much as possible. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, Pirate Snorkeling Shack, implements a series of preventive measures that can help our ecotourism activities to be carried out safely, in accordance with the preservation of the environment. Constant Monitoring: Employees receive daily monitoring to ensure that they are healthy and do not show symptoms of any infectious disease. Once in their workplace they must wear nasal protectors at all times, except when participating in aquatic activities and comply with the CDC guidelines, physical distancing and hand washing every thirty minutes. Ongoing Cleaning: Pirate Snorkeling Shack has a person involved in the equipment sanitization process and will be trained to follow CDC's cleaning and sanitizing guidelines. All equipment, such as life jackets, paddles, kayak, paddlebard, snorkeling gear, and contact surfaces, are thoroughly disinfected before each and after each use. The snorkeling equipment will be specially disinfected and cleaned in a rigorous 24-hour process. Physical distancing: Guests will keep a safe distance of 6 feet as much as possible at all times. Please note, for your safety, there may be times when your guides need to assist you, preventing them from maintaining a 6-foot distance. However, all staff members will wear necessary PPE throughout the tour and will be equipped with portable disinfectants if necessary. Pirate Snorkeling Shack has instituted mandatory temperature checks for all guests. During the registration process, guests must wear masks that cover their nose and mouth. Guest temperatures will be scanned using our non-contact temperature devices. If you or someone in your group experiences symptoms, we will work directly with you to cancel or reschedule your tour. Food and beverage service: All snacks and lunches will be packed (not buffet). We ask that you bring your own reusable cup. Health Restrictions Notice

  • Participants 17 years and under must have an adult participating on the tour.
  • We do not recommend the participation of the following guests:
  • Pregnant Women
  • Guests with back, neck, wrist, arm, leg problems, injuries and/or cast.
  • Guest with epilepsy, heart conditions and/or dizziness.
  • All guests must be able to communicate in English or Spanish.
You are responsible for sharing health conditions with the rest of your group.
